Tug won Breed today! I don't know how many dogs he defeated but it was a major for both dogs and bitches so its a pretty big win. Heather's puppy from Matt and Dena Drozdoff won Best of Winners in his firsst show AND it was a major! Heather is building quite a kennel! Hopefully pictures will follow!
I admit that I was blaming Sidney for the crushed sides on the small pools. I thought she was crushing them as she drained them so that she wouldn't have to pick them up. Today, the real culprit revealed herself. What happens when a 180 pound dog sits on the side of a plastic pool? Nothing, she didn't spill a drop! Sidney looked at her and said, "She is so smart." I agree, dear. I agree.
Note to self: Susie is in heat. She has been for at least four days. Trojan started taking a real interest today.
I admit it, I'm disappointed and frustrated. We did everything we could to get Morrigan pregnant and she isn't. The ultrasound was negative. I don't know what to say. I was SO looking forward to these babies.
Now I have to look toward the future. Roxie should be ready to breed in 3 months. I need to get her hips and elbows done and get her bred. She is already 2.5 and it is her time. Susie mentioned a dog named Tex that she thought would be good for her. I haven't seen him yet. I need to find a tall dog with a great top line for Roxie girl. The search is on.
Note to self: NEVER go to a summer parade again. Jennifer tried to tell me. Angel tried to tell me, but you know me, PIG-HEADED! The worst of it is I took everyone down the same silly road!
Well, it wasn't that bad... we did have fun and we got to say hello and hi so... Sidney's cow puppet broke shortly after they started walking.
Shelley,Lane,Jennifer,Oscar,Tammie,Maegan,Jim,Lilly,Angel,Grendel,Sidney,Trojan We drank LOTS of water! :)
Everything is going well here. Morrigan is acting like she's two again. I hope with the same litter results! Roxie bounces everywhere she goes. Lexus is FINALLY filling out and is gorgeous. With her new found maturity, she is thinking of challenging her momma. That hasn't happened before and I will have to keep an eye on that situation. Lilly and Susie wrestle all day, every day, in any type of weather. They have become inseperable. I have finally settled on living arrangements. Roxie and Lexus are together. Lilly and Susie are together. Morrigan and Trojan together. Chocolate is with Jennifer. Talk about a pampered existence!
Jennifer and I saw Lane Saturday. He is beautiful. Now I know why I had such a hard time choosing between him and Trojan! He has a MASSIVE head and a beautiful front. His rear is a little weak compared to his brother's, but he is still very nice. Right now, We are planning on taking several of these guys up to watch Sidney in the July 4th parade. Anyone that wants to come with us is welcome. Speaking of the boy wonder, I take him everywhere. I can't leave him outside of the doghouse because he ignores the fences. Since he has to stay in the doghouse all the time, I feel guilty and take him with me whenever we go somewhere he will be accepted. I took him with me at 2:00 am to pick James up from a wrestling trip. Trojan feel asleep and was snoring in the middle of a ring of sleepy parents while we talked above him. He made more friends that night. Which brings us back to Saturday. There was a match in Carrollton on Saturday. Its was a perfect situation for Chocolate to get out and socialize so, Jennifer brought her. Sidney was working on her parade costume so Lexus stayed home. I took Trojan because I take him everywhere. :) Anyway, the match was tiny. Maybe 30 to 35 dogs but Trojan won best adult. He was a crowd favorite acting in his famously goofy manner. He won a couple toys and some cookies. The toys were welcome and he played with them immediately. He decided that the cookies didn't taste as good as his normal food and they have been slobbered but spit back out. Hopefully pictures will follow. ARCHIVES |
